Heavenly Treasures currently supports 4 projects in Thailand that represents over 500 artisan families!
From children rescued from Human Trafficking to seamstresses to pastors planting churches, we have seen lives change in amazing ways! The artisans in Thailand make some amazing handicrafts! They are so gifted in the area of design.

looming ladies

The Looming Ladies all are mothers of World Vision sponsored children from the past 20 years. They work together in their self help group to spin and dye cotton and then weave them into various scarves and shawls. Their desire is to see their handmade products to continue to support their families and to be able to send their children to college.

They have come together with a common goal of taking care of their children and have found a common passion in creating great products out of natural, local materials. They have a small roadside shop in Chiangrai, Thailand and wait for tourists to come by to purchase their clothing and scarves. Most of these women are believers,  Born Again and we believe they will all come to know Christ and accept Him as their Savior, Provider, and Father.

MALEE HANDICRAFTS

A woman named Malee started her sewing business in her home with a micro loan from World Vision. Through her amazing mind and talented skills in sewing she has been building up her business and community at the same time.  They take scrap pieces of materials as well as newer pieces and quilt them together to make incredibly fashionable clothes, hats, bags, shirts, slippers, and more! We were thrilled to see the creative gifts and abilities of these rural villagers!

Through the growth of this project, Malee has been able to employ over 38 people in her village. Over the past 8 years this group has grown in their abilities and business practices.  With the creative guidance of Malee and her leadership, we believe this group will come to see great success. They are truly gifted by God and we pray He will grow the people of Malee Handicrafts and expand their eyes and heart to what He has to offer them.

Malee's patch color cotton hippy bag was purchased wholesale by World Vision USA for their Christmas catalog and sold so many bags, they couldn't make them fast enough! Malee's items have also been sold to the world famous San Diego Zoo! Her creativity and designs are so amazing and we can't seem to keep some of her products in stock because they sell so quickly! The good news is, we are able to order more from her on a consistent basis so she and more lives can be changed!

Mr. Winn's Story...
Mr. Winn is a creative and talented man we originally met in the night market. Through partnering with heavenly treasures, Mr. Winn has a changed life! He has been able to employ over 40 people in two villages in the hilltribes! (see his pic above) He started selling in the night markets by himself and he also invented the 7 way and 3 way necklaces.  Now, his whole family are involved as well as he was able to train over 40 people in two villages how to make handicrafts, including the elderly who can sit and tie knots for the fashion accessories!!

In addition to Mr. Winn, Heavenly Treasures helps approximately 100 artisan families find self sufficiency and hope.

We are able to purchase products from a variety of artisans in Thailand. The Thai people are so talented in design, and their creativity comes out in the form of unique and some one of a kind handbags and accessories. (Christina pictured on the right with another artisan named "sweet gypsy").

Heavenly Treasures is also able to support Mission Thailand of the Free Methodist Church on a monthly basis including the church planting ministry of Art and Pat Chutong in Rayong, Thailand - three hours south of Bangkok. The sale of scarves, handbags, fashion accessories made by the artisans we are able to minister to directly supports Mission Thailand.

Art has ministered to local Thai through giving English classes.  We have had the opportunity to minister through English classes, sharing in the Bangkok Church and working on research of potential Livelihood Projects.  Art and Pat have shared that one of the greatest needs is the support of the local churches.

Their work has grown to include Zion Land, a church camp in Suphan Buri, organized churches in Chiangmai and Bangkok, and several church planting projects in Chiang Rai, Chaiyapum and areas of Bangkok — reaching two distinct areas of Thailand and four people groups. The two Bangkok churches, located only a kilometer apart, are planning a joint church planting effort in a large subsidized housing complex about a mile from both.

The churches in Thailand are actively engaged in holistic ministries – reaching out to the lost with the hope of Jesus and endeavoring to meet the needs of the poor as well. A variety of means are used: teaching English as a Second Language, friendship evangelism, planting churches and standing strong in the midst of opposition. Zion Land’s Jasmine Project, a ministry to unwed mothers, was launched in 2010. The project provides a safe place for women to give birth and to be prepared for reentry into society.

ZOE Means "LIFE," the Life of God
Over 1.4 billion people have never heard the Gospel. ZOE International Ministries is a Christian organization with the mission to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ and to make disciples of the un-reached people of the world and to demonstrate God's compassion through rescuing and caring for orphans and children from human trafficking.
The Vision of ZOE International Ministries is to fulfill God's dream that every person on earth will know Him and possess eternal Life through Jesus Christ; and that in lands where Christ is unknown; His love will be experienced, His Kingdom will reign, His Church will be built, His disciples will multiply, and He will be glorified for who He is.
