God has been speaking with me ... In the church we have some children who are orphans, they have not father nor mother to take care of them. When this burden became heavy on me, I decided to share with my pastor and some few brothers concerning the issue. Everybody was touched and we decided that we have a committee to take care of the issue. It has taken some time and there was nothing going on. Then we have decided to go ahead and have been giving food to the orphan children. ..... I have two families in my village. Imagine how I feel when I meet these kids looking for food and they have no body to depend on. I believe you have been a blessing to me that?s why I have been a blessing to the others. May our loving master help us to serve him in the area he has called. Remember that greater is the servant. If you get a chance to pray, pray for me to keep the vision I have received from you, for it is good to suffer for others as Christ suffered for us. We were shocked by the home visits that revealed the devastating situations of the orphan families. This picture is of one of the 90+ year old grandparents that are left with 5-10 kids. Our hearts were moved to find ways to help this community. The proceeds from the sale of handcrafted products started the journey to find long term solutions to help these kids and their elderly caregivers.. sometimes, they care for themselves.
Please pray for us as we work to develop the first self sustaining community center for orphans, Kamba Kids Care Center. This center will include a guesthouse, community center, health clinic and agricultural training center. We rejoice at the response of Heavenly Treasures friends that have already help to purchase land, build the guesthouse, sending short term teams and continue to purchase products to support the Kamba Kids!!
