| "Bringing light to Cambodians through income-generating projects."
Reaksmei, meaning "light", "radiance" or "enlighten" was chosen as the name of the project. This project was developed to help low-income church members of the Cambodia churches as well as pastors that have been working on the faith that their needs would be met.
The pastors have accepted jobs knowing the funds were not sufficient, the people are poor and do not have the resources to support pastors fully. The sale of handicrafts have contributed toward the funding of 7 pastors and church planters!
The women who are a part of the sewing project have been able to supplement their families income. Pauline is in charge of the production of the beautiful skirts, she is also a church planter along with her husband, Lim. Please pray for them.
Yuko Wilkins serves with her husband Chris in Kampong Cham. Yuko is an experienced seamstress and is developing new products in their area of ministry. Yuko is a new mom, she is pictured with their new baby, Caleb and Nancy Ota.
This is Issac, he was mentored by Margaret Nelson to take over the leadership of the micro enterprises. Heavenly Treasures is sponsoring his salary through the purchase of the marketplace products. Please pray for him as he serves the Cambodian people with his gifts and abilities.

Proceeds from Cambodian products are supporting 3 pastors, two church planters and project manager, Issac Mourng. Thank you to Margaret Nelson for the updates on these national leaders!
Pastor Joshua Kung Ty and family
Joshua pastors the Prek Thei Free Methodist Church, the mother church in Cambodia. He graduated from Phnom Phenh Bible School in 2003. He was one of the first two Free Methodist Cambodians to be ordained. His wife, Sopheap, currently is the supervisor at the House of Love. Of their 6 children, Jonathan, the oldest, has already graduated from university. He is working for a Korean missionary group in Cambodia. The next two daughters are both currently studying in college, thanks to scholarships provided by Free Methodists in Hong Kong and the U.S. The rest of the children are still in school. Without the hehlp from the sales of Reaksmei Products, Joshua would not be able to be a full-time pastor, because the church is not yet able to provide the entire amount of salary he needs to support his family.

All of our Cambodian sisters and brothers are poor, so any income at all helps them immensely. The ladies who sew the skirts are the wives of pastors and church planters. As the women tithe their income, that helps the church income to increase. Also, the coordinator for the sewing project, Pauline, is training ladies in her neighborhood to sew, and this provides an outreach opporunity for the church plant she and her husband, Lim, are involved in.
The profits from the sales of the skirts, notecards and handicrafts go into a Pastoral Support Fund, which helps pay the salaries for 4 pastors and 3 church planters. This hopefully will continue until the churches themselves have enough income to pay their pastor enough to live on. Thus the pastors are able to be full-time pastors, instead of having to spend time on another job in order to support their families.
